Cali, Colombia: The AMBC (American Boxing Confederation) Continental Championships have once again proven to be a hotspot for boxing talents across North and South America. This prestigious event invites countries from both continents to showcase their boxing prowess in three distinct categories: Youth, Junior, and Elite. For Team Canada, the stakes are even higher, as this championship serves as a pivotal qualifier for the upcoming Pan-Am games.

Here's a breakdown of how our Team Canada Youth athletes have been faring so far:


Lennox Lalande (48kg, Mens)


August 6th update


Lennox showcased a notable performance in the tournament. Though he was defeated in the Quarter Finals on August 2nd by Ecuador's Patricio Said Calero Arias, his spirited fight was a testament to his potential. Lennox's skills and strength continue to make him a promising talent for the future.

August 6th update


Karan put up a tough fight in his Quarter Final bout on August 2nd. At the AMBC Continental Championships, Lola Brouillard, representing Team Canada, showcased her exceptional boxing fundamentals. Having automatically advanced to the Finals on August 8th, she faced off against the formidable Alondra Yeraldi Sanchez Rodriguez of Mexico. Despite her impressive skillset, Lola couldn't clinch the win, but her performance undoubtedly left a mark on the championship.

At the AMBC Continental Championships, Team Canada's Alessia Mansueto showcased her prowess by automatically advancing to the Finals. On August 8th, she squared off against Mexico's formidable Andrea Carolina. Despite giving it her all, Alessia was edged out in a unanimous decision by her Mexican opponent.
